Swirl Wine Course Course Schedule:
March 18 Wine Basics – Wine samples will explore wine attributes - body, acidity, tannins, and oak aging. You’ll learn how to use various openers, proper serving temperatures, how to store wine, the best glasses to use, how to taste wine, and important wine terms.
March 25 Italy – Wine samples will explore the wines of Italy. You’ll learn how to order wine in a restaurant like a pro, get the best from your local wine shop, and read Italian wine labels.
April 1 France – Wine samples will explore the wines of France. We’ll discuss single-varietals vs. blended wines, decanting, reading French wine labels, pronunciation, and vintages.
April 8 New World – Wine samples will explore the wines of the U.S., Australia, New Zealand, Chile, and Argentina. You’ll learn about Old World vs. New World wines, wine scores, and screw caps.
April 15 Spain & Portugal – Wine samples will explore the wines of Spain and Portugal. You’ll learn how to pair wine with food, host a wine tasting, and read Spanish and Portuguese wine labels.
April 22 Sparkling Wine – Wine samples will explore sparkling wines from around the world. You’ll learn the different methods of making sparkling wine, how to find bargains, and sparkling wine terms.
